John Mullan is a Professor of English at University College, London. A broadcaster and literary journalist, he writes for The Guardian and reviews for various newspapers and magazines. John specialises in 18th-century literature and is the author of many books including What Matters in Jane Austen?: Twenty Crucial Puzzles Solved.
